competitively priced tenders. Once in possession
of the tenders we can analyse, make recommendations
and prepare contract documentation accordingly.
We are able to prepare builders quantities for
various purposes including incorporation in tenders,
sub-contract enquiries, re-measures for the valuation
of variations or final accounts.
The forecast final profitability of a project
should be assessed on a regular basis throughout
the construction period by means of cost reporting.
Strategic and business decisions can then be made
if required.
If cost reporting has not been initiated at the
outset of a project we are able to establish the
expected final financial outcome by undertaking
a cost to completion exercise in conjunction with
a calculation of the anticipated final account.
Contractual terms of contract contained in standard
and amended forms of contract may be unfamiliar.
It is good practice to have these reviewed at
tender stage or at the latest prior to entering
into contract in order that you are fully advised
of your own and your client’s respective
risks and obligations.
An understanding of the terms and conditions of
contract facilitates the maximisation of your
entitlements under the contract. Given the contract
we will advise, and calculate if required, your
entitlements to payment, value and extensions
of time.
We are able to value your contract and varied
works in accordance with the terms and conditions
of the contract allowing you to maximise your
value, cash flow and total income.
Contracts prescribe that both parties undertake
certain actions at various times. An awareness
of and a means of administering these procedures
is an essential to the success of a project and
overall business. We can provide documentation
and training, if required, to ensure that you
have the means and knowledge to comply with the
requirements of the contract.
The compilation and agreement of final accounts
are often left due to the pressures and commitment
demanded by new projects. We can compile, negotiate
and agree final accounts on your behalf allowing
you to concentrate on your new business.
Disputes are an unwelcome occurrence in construction.
Disputes occur as a result of a variety of issues,
most commonly associated with non payment. Our
initial intention would be to resolve any dispute
in a non confrontational, cost effective and amicable
manner. If this fails we are able to represent
you in adjudication, the most common formal means
of dispute resolution in construction.
